Katya Krauchanka was born in Khoiniki, Belarus. She moved to Austria in order to study art at University of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 2016, Katya was nominated as a second best artist in Young Artist Award in Dubai, UAE. Her artwork was part of international exhibition ”Zureta” in Tokyo, Japan. Techniques that she is specializing in are: Woodcut, Linocut, Drawing, Painting. Observation of nature is the base of her work. Her areas of interest include entomology, botany as well as sociology or theology. Collecting and combining the elements she finds in her research and in her imagination permits her to produce new images, new fictional typologies that have meaning behind them.
